There are any number of stories out about the advisory group commissioned by Mayor James today. The Kansas City Business Journal, KMBC-TV and KCTV-5 are here for your convenience but suffice to say, they’re everywhere. Likewise there is a considerable amount of speculation about the composition of the group, the agenda and of course, the eventual result which won’t be known for several months.
All I can say is that I’m honored to have been asked and look forward to seeing where it goes. All along, the objective here has been to open a conversation between the city within City Hall and the city outside of City Hall. This objective has been accomplished. Now it is time to engage the conversation and find the best solution for KCI and for Kansas City.
