As stated before, the site is about asking the questions that are not being asked and in some cases, questioning the answers. Some would call that a discussion.
Earlier today I posted an article (here) after seeing questions being raised by two familiar members of the media concerning the new street cars. It seemed that there might already be surprise expenditures in the millions and I noted it as yet another example of why people are concerned about the KCI proposal.
Not long afterward, Councilman Russ Johnson tweeted me to tell me that the information I reported was not accurate and to check my facts before jumping to conclusions. I agree with that principle and frankly, thought that I had since I was merely quoting what had been previously published. Here is the exchange from Twitter.
Fair enough and as noted, I appreciate the clarification. However, at around the same time as his initial tweet, before I had had a chance to respond, he fired off another one:
Very disappointing. And as a 2nd district resident, it’s especially so.
I hope that this is not the “adult discussion” that Mayor James called for.
We can only hope Johnson moved to JoCo. Don’t think there has ever been one person that has done so much damage to KCMO.
Mr. Johnson is now missing in action. Seems if you can’t tell the truth you hide from it.
Mr. Johnson must not be aware of the NEW taxpayers organization:
CRAPSHOOT
(Citizens Rallying Against Political Stupidity Hoping Obviousness Overcomes Them).
Oh and Mr. Johnson? Quit talking out of the 12 sides of your head and LET-US-VOTE on lining KCI with Gree- er- Gold.
I have to say, the CAVE acronym is pretty funny and accurate for many folks in KC.
Ah what a tangled web he’s weaving….
Don’t feed the Trolls!
